Kwebang Lampas

Kwebang Lampas
Pagbilao, Quezon

Naligaw kami at nakalampas ng isang bayan before we found Kwebang lampas. Well it's a 50% planned at 50% unplanned quick getaway. It's already 10am at hesitant pa kami if we're going to push this one.Meron kasi kaming one week Christmas break at sayang naman kung uubusin lang namin sa pag nganga sa bahay, hehehe. Nagkataon pa naman na madalas ang bagyo at hindi kami makaplano ng malayong vacation because of the weather. Anyway, I only have a screen shot of how to get there from other blogs. Coming from Batangas we pass by the towns of Ibaan, Rosario and San juan Batangas and  then Sariaya, Lucena and finally Pagbilao,Quezon.
Alam kong walang accomodation sa Kwebang lampas at wala din kaming dalang tent although pwede naman mag camp overnight dito basta may dala kang sariling tent or pwede ka ding mag rent ng tent sa caretaker, kaya nag suggest ako sa asawa ko na i check namin ang Anitas Butterfly Garden Resort in Padre Burgos. Our plan is to stay there for a night and then leave early morning to kwebang lampas, I am so eager to see this resort because of the good reviews I read form other blogs. Sa totoo lang hindi naman talaga ako sure kung gaano kalayo ang Padre Burgos sa Pagbilao, pero dahil nag marunong ako, I insisted na malapit lang siguro yun. On our way sa town ng Pagbilao, nadaanan namin ang "This way to Silangang Nayon" in brgy. Bantigue. We decided to check this out para may alternative kami.. But I'm a bit disappointed when we reached the place. Siguro because i expected more. They don't have a decent beach front or pool for swimming. The rooms is in a three storey building with terraces fronting the beach, and overlooking their restaurant sa baba. We said that we're just going to take alook at Pico de Playa a few kilometres from them and will come back if that don't suit us. We checked out this pico de playa, the place looks nice and huge, the guard immediately asked us if we have reservation and if we are a member of this exclusive place, obviously we're not. So we don't have any other choice but to turn around and look for Anita butterfly garden resort in Padre Burgos.
On our way to Padre Burgos we passed by Brgy Polo, makalampas lang ng town proper ng Pagbilao. Actually nakapasok na nga kami sa brgy road nila, pero bumalik kami at nag diretso sa national highway papuntang Padre burgos, not knowing na ito na pala ang tamang daan papuntang kwebang lampas. when we reached padre burgos, we asked the locals the way to anita resort, sabi nila mga 30 min pa, sobrang malayo talaga sya. Tinanong na din namin kung may mga bangka na marerenta puntang Kwebang Lampas,. they point us to Brgy. Basiao,we met some locals there and agreed to come back early morning to rent their banca that will take us to the beach,  and again we continue our long drive to anita resort. finally at 6pm we reached the resort.just by looking on their gigantic iron gate, gusto ko ng mag backout at magsisi kung bakit hindi pa kami nagsettle sa Silangang Nayon.Ppero wala na kaming ibang choice, madilim na at ito lang ang available resort na alam ko. I'm so dissappointed because the place looks napabayaan. yes its big and has two pools pero puro tuyong dahon and really looks dirty. it even looks creepy! kami lang ang tao sa entire resort. hindi sila beach front at hindi na namin nagawang i check ang paligid. we just stay inside our room .I'm sorry to say this but it even looks haunted. With all those big mirrors and old furnitures, maybe it's grand and classy a decade ago, but now its super outdated. The only saving grace is that they have cable on their 21" tv.. hahaha. All we think is sana mag umaga na, by the way its 3200 for an overnight stay on their suit room (queen size bed, with aircon and toilet at madaming langgam) , with breakfast.

We went back to brgy Basiao the next morning. They asked us kung san muna namin gustong pumunta. Meron silang organize tour with a fixed prize. We can choose if we want to go to Borawan or Dampalitan beach or to Kwebang Lampas or Puting Buhangin only. Kwebang Lampas is the most expensive since its the farthest of all.We chose kwebang lampas, and will have a side trip to borawan after kung kaya pa namin. it's a more or less one hour boat ride from Basiao. We passed by Borawan beach but I don't see anything spectacular except those two big rocks and that's all. Kaya malamang na pass kami dito. Finally, Kwebang Lampas!

I totally forgot all our misadventures the moment i saw the beach. the water and the sand reminds me of kalanggaman island. the water is emerald green and the sand is nakakasilaw na puti.. literally.Nakakagulat lang isipin na under rated ang beach na to, to think na konting drive na lang from Laiya, San Juan Batangas at narito ka na. Pero sa isang banda, mas mabuti na siguro yun para hindi masira ang ganda ng lugar. Entrance is 50 each and you can rent a shed type cottage for 350 pesos. Merong toilet and you can buy water for rinsing for 20 per container. The caretaker of the beach is living there with his family,  you have to pay the entrance fee sa kanila, they also have a small sari-sari store. We had some chit chat with other guest at nalaman namin na last night pa sila dito. From Pagbilao town proper they drove to brgy. Polo. Yung brgy road na may terminal ng tricycle na napasukan na namin pero we chose to ignore. Diretso lang daw sila all the way to Pagbilao power corp. it's also a long drive pero hindi naman kasing layo papuntang Padre Burgos. They left their car parked on a parking area near power corp and cross the small lake. May nag aabang na mga bata with their small bancas that will take you to the other side for 20 pesos each. After that is just a walking distance to the beach. If your a big group or madami bata or gamit and you dont want to walk you can call the caretaker in advance to fetch you on the other side for 250 pesos with their bigger banca. Yes, there's no accommodation but you can rent a tent for 300 pesos, you also need to call in advance to reserve. Okay, alam ko na ngayon, it'll be much easier the next time we come here.we'll definitely come back, its not crowded, its accesible, it's cheap and it's beautiful  can't wait for a sunny day.
